Evening Rainbow

Most of us have heard about this hot air balloon thingy last year. None of the people I know went. No idea why though. For a change, we’ve organised an outing specifically for this occassion when it came back. Yes, I’m talking about the 2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Ballon Fiesta 2010 in case you haven’t heard of it yet.
Before the morning of the outing, I did some research on the balloons’ flight path and got nothing back from that search. The idea was to balloon chase and get some shots of the balloon in the air with some nice background.
As it turns out, a friend of mine told me that they take off from ground zero, fly over the lake and just lands on the other side. Hmm… and I thought it would fly around Putrajaya. Probably not I guess.
Well, here’s my take of the outing. One common sight you’ll see these days is that there would be swarms of camera owners showing up at events like this, buzzing around where the action is taking place.
As for myself, I’ve opted to stand away from harm’s way

Enlisted as navigator for a road trip to Putrajaya. The mission that morning was to determine the easiest route to Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC). Thanks to the road sign, we’ve missed an exit and had to make a big round about to get back on course.
You won’t find a photo of the PICC here though. Instead, you’ll find a few shots I’ve made from the main entrance that shows the surrounding area.

If you want to visit PICC for yourself, I’ve conveniently provided you with a map.
Despite staying in this region most of my life, this would be my first full visit to Batu Caves. My previous partial visit was about a year ago for a wedding assignment.

If you want to visit the temple or cave for yourself, I’ve conveniently provided you with a map.
